The North Carolina Association of Housing Code Officials is a State Organization committed to Housing Code enforcement through the promotion of technical, legal, and the administrative quality of Housing Code enforcement; the education of the public and the representation of officials whose duties include enforcement and/or administration of Housing Ordinances in North Carolina.

Through the quality of enforcement, the education of the public and the support of State Officials, we seek to maintain and improve the housing stock throughout the State and to constantly strive to increase public awareness of the Code and the benefits to the citizens of North Carolina.
